Karl Hespeler-Chairman
Karl has a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of Connecticut. He enjoyed a successful career as a computer programmer and independent consultant. He is a founder and partner of the Tri-Com Consulting Group, a successful computer consulting and staffing company headquartered in Middletown, CT. Karl was vice-president and president for many years for the Marlborough Youth Athletic League (MYAL), a non-profit volunteer organization that provides organized youth baseball, basketball and softball opportunities. He spent many years coaching basketball and baseball for area recreation, travel, and AAU teams. He lives in Marlborough, CT with his wife Michelle. He has two children, Krista and Kyle.

Kelly Kearney - Vice Chairman
Kelly is the owner of Clarity Marketing, LLC, a successful advertising and consulting firm based in Simsbury.  Kelly holds his B.S. in Marketing from the University of Connecticut, and his MBA from RPI.  Kelly is active in the Simsbury community, and is Vice Chairman of the Simsbury Culture, Parks and Recreation Commission.  He lives in Simsbury with his wife, Kathy.  They have three children.

Allyson Kinney - Secretary
Allyson is a retired Professor and Program Coordinator of Computer Science from Gateway Community College.   She holds her B.A. in Spanish and English  from the University of Connecticut,  and her Master of Computer Information Sciences (MCIS) from the University of New Haven.  She is a member of the Foxbridge Condominiums, Board of Directors; is Lead Coordinator, CAP Branford support group, launched in January 2016; and is on the Branford Road Race, planning board.  Allyson is widowed with two daughters, and two grandchildren. Allyson was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in April of 2014.

Michael Bergamo, Sr., CPA - Treasurer
Michael J Bergamo, Sr, CPA,  owns and operates Bergamo Tax and Accounting Services. LLC. The firm provides a wide range of financial services to both businesses and individuals, including tax preparation, planning, payroll and monthly bookkeeping. In addition, Mike is a Registered Representative of Cambridge Investment Research, Inc* and offers financial planning and investment services for all needs, such as general investments, retirement accounts, and 529 plans.

Michael was born and raised in Waterbury, CT and received his Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1986 from Quinnipiac University and has been a CPA since 1994. He is a member of the CTCPA (Connecticut Society of CPAs) and the AICPA (American Institute of CPAs).  Michael also has completed his Series 6 and 63 security licenses. He also holds a producer license in CT in the areas of life insurance and variable contracts.

Steve DeWitte - Founding Member of CAP
Steve is the Founder of CAP.  CAP began as a support group for people with Parkinson’s (PWP) who were defined as young onset, or diagnosed prior to the age of 50. Steve was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in March 2005 at the age of 48. Steve is also credited with the formation of the Make A Difference Parkinson Alliance (MADPA), which brought the three largest support groups in Connecticut together to provide enhanced educational programs and unified advocacy voice to its over 300 members.

Steve serves in an advisory role for such organizations as the Cure Parkinson’s Trust, LTD, and the Michael J. Fox Foundation. He served as an Ambassador for the World Parkinson Congress in 2013, and was a graduate of the 2008 PAIR (Parkinson’s Advocates In Research) Program presented by the Parkinson’s Foundation. He is credited with developing the Clinical Trial Transportation Program (CTTP), which has recruited and supported over 150 volunteers to participate in Parkinson’s Clinical Studies, with the assistance of MADPA.
Steve serves as a Public Policy representative for Connecticut, and has participated in several FDA and NIH Policy Workshops. He was appointed to the Parkinson’s Journal Editorial Board, and often consults with Industry and Research Centers (Yale, Columbia, Stanford) in every step of Treatment development.

In March 2015, he was recognized as a Champion of Change at The White House. DeWitte was selected to be the co-recipient of the 2017 Alan Bonander Humanitarian Award presented by the Parkinson’s Alliance to individuals who selflessly devoted time to patient advocacy through research and direct interaction with physicians.

 Lisa Dolishny
Lisa has over 20 years of technology experience in the Retail Industry.  She is skilled in Leadership, Point of Sale, Trend Analysis, Customer Service, strategy development, product requirement definitions.
Married with 3 children, Lisa loves boating, volunteering in the community and helping others.  She is a member of the Parkinson's Community - diagnosed with Young Onset PD at age 40.

Michelle Hespeler - Founding Member of CAP
Michelle is a dedicated Physical Education/Health Teacher and Coach with 25 years experience in creating, planning and implementing a variety of lessons and programs. She develops and teaches motivating lessons within the PE curriculum, as well as, organizes many school-wide and family events.  She is a  fitness enthusiast throughout her lifetime and keeps up with the newest training regimen.

Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two children, Krista and Kyle.  Their "happy place" is their beach house in North Carolina.

Michelle was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 40. She has used this as a chance to start her own successful business - "Beat Parkinson's Today"  -  and help others with the disease to live a fulfilling life.  Beat Parkinson's Today will continue to keep her busy and inspiring her to keep on going.

Vicki Kulas

Vicki is retired from Metfin Shotblast Systems as the Aftermarket Products Mgr., Payroll/ Bookkeeper Mgr., since 2015.  She is a Certified Senior Fitness instructor (SFA), a Silver Sneakers Certified Group Instructor, and Trainer – Top Tier Fitness, LLC.
In addition to her duties as a member of the CAP Board of Directors, and as bookkeeper for CAP, Vicki volunteers for The Bushnell Theater for Performing Arts,  The Hartford Stage, and is Assistant Coordinator, CAP Branford support group.  Vicki is married with one son, and one grandchild.
